​Smoke alarms in Queensland must be placed in specific locations.

To be certified compliant and to obtain a certificate of compliance for your smoke alarms in

Queensland, you will need to:

​

• Upload photos of the Manufactures Date Sticker (as shown below) of each alarm and submit within your application.

​​

• Upload a house plan, indicating smoke alarm positions (this can be hand drawn, it must show whole home layout including alarm positions) and submit within your application.
